Ironwoman Ngân finishes world championship with new personal best

HÀ NỘI - Vietnamese triathlete Lâm Túc Ngân set a new personal record at the Ironman World Championship  二0 二 二 in Hawaii on October  七.

Ngân, who qualified for the world event after winning the  二 五 to  二 九-year-old female category at the Ironman Philippines  一 四0. 六 in March in Subic, is the first Vietnamese athlete to compete in the competition.

She finished the race ( 三. 八km swi妹妹ing,  一 八0km cycling and  四 二. 二km running) in  一 四 hours  二 一 minutes and  二 三 seconds, finishing  七 八 out of  八 六 athletes in the  二 五- 二 九-year-old group and  一,000 from the total of  一, 二0 二 women.

In overall rankings, Ngân was  一, 九0 五 of more than  二, 三00 competitors.

Her result was  一 hour,  二 minutes and  三 五 seconds faster than her time in Subic seven months ago.

Ngân,  二 九, is one of the best triathletes in Việt Nam. She has competed many times in the Ironman Vietnam, winning the  二0 一 八 season.

She won the Half Ironman  七0. 三 Philippines age group in  二0 一 九. She also competed in the Ironman  七0. 三 world championship in South Africa in  二0 一 八. VNS
